The Universidad ORT is an international non-denominational university. It is the first and largest private university in Uruguay. It has an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit and the main lines of the university are technology, business and design. Every year, more than 11,000 students study at ORT, including international students from Spain, Mexico, Germany, the U.S. and China. The University has received some international accreditation by AMBA and the ARCU-SUR Mercosur system. ORT University has two campuses, one in downtown (ORT-Centro) and one in Pocitos (ORT-Pocitos). The USAC program resides on ORT’s Pocitos campus in a good location of the city. There are many cafeterias, restaurants, and stores in the are. It is also easy to navigate the city by bus and will take you less than 20 minutes to get ORT-Pocitos from all USAC housing locations.

The campus itself is newer, modern, green, and quite nice. There is a computer lab open to all students, a classroom for studying, and a library. Many students also study in the terrace on the top floor with a nice view over the neighborhood or the University Patio. There is free Wi-Fi access for the students, a cafeteria with low prices and several options for snacks, lunch or dinner. La Rambla is five blocks away from ORT-Pocitos and is the nicest gym in the city. The university's sports area offers you the possibility of integrating the school’s team and compete in the University League in several sports.

Argentina

INAPL buildingDuring the January session, the National Institute of Anthropology and Latin American Thought (INAPL), an Argentine government agency dedicated to preserving national cultural and archeological heritage, also serves as our host campus. Part of Argentina's ministry of culture, INAPL is recognized academically at the national and international level.
