Academics

USAC's partnership with VNUK Institute of Research and Executive Education, University of Da Nang (VNUK) provides you with a special array of academic options taught in English. In addition to two required courses in Vietnamese language and culture, you will enroll in two to three electives from VNUK's undergraduate programs in biomedical science, computer science & engineering and international business & management. Students are required to enroll in 12-16 credits each semester. Course availability is subject to change and is determined by VNUK.

Required Course Offerings:

The following two courses are offered by VNUK specifically for USAC students.

  • Vietnamese Language for Daily Communication, 100-level, 3-credits (required)
  • Vietnamese Culture and Society, 200-level, 3 credits (required)

Areas of Study at VNUK (subject to change):

You will attend regular VNUK courses taught in English alongside local Vietnamese students and other international students. Courses listed below represent a sampling of those offered by VNUK. Courses are subject to change and may have academic prerequisites as a condition to enroll. Students need to be flexible with their course choices as VNUK course registration may not be fully approved until after the student arrives onsite.
