Living Accommodations for Madrid, Spain
All living options are within commuting distance of the host university (one of which is on campus) and Madrid has excellent public transportation.
Apartments
Shared apartments are with other USAC students. This is a suitable option if you have an independent lifestyle but are used to group living. Apartment buildings typically have five to six floors, with Spaniards from all walks of life. There are no dormitory-style buildings; USAC students are not grouped together in one building, rather they are placed throughout the city.
Downtown Co-Living Residence
Living at this residence is a suitable option for those students who have an independent lifestyle, or for those who want to have high exposure to Spanish and international students. It is perfect for students who want to live in one of the best neighborhoods in the center of Madrid and have their room with a private bathroom.
Homestay
Living with a host family is a great opportunity for you to immerse yourself into the daily life of a Spanish family. It is highly recommended as one of the best ways to practice your language skills and learn Spanish customs. Your host family will provide two meals per day (usually breakfast and dinner) laundry access once a week.
Vicálvaro URJC Residence Hall (On-campus)
José Pérez de Vargas Residence Hall is a suitable option for those students who have an independent lifestyle, or for those who want to have high exposure to Spanish and international students (most of them study at the Vicálvaro URJC campus). It is perfect for students who do not want to use public transportation every morning to get to class, as it is located on the same campus as the USAC office and most classes, but who do not mind using public transportation to get to the city, and have their room with a private bathroom.
