Academics
USAC’s partnership with Kookmin University provides you with a wide array of courses taught in English. You are required to enroll in the equivalency of 12-15 U.S. credits per semester. A typical course load at Kookmin is 12-15 credits per semester. Areas of study believed to be of most interest to USAC students are included below as a sample of what the university offers. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by Kookmin University. Kookmin University has ABET accreditation.

The intensive Korean language program at Kookmin University has a low intermediate and intermediate track for those who have already completed their first year of Korean language studies. This is a 15-credit fixed program. You will take a language placement exam onsite to determine which track you'll take. If you place too low on the placement exam, you will need to take regular undergraduate courses as identified above.

- Minimum class standing: Applicants must have sophomore standing or higher at time of application, and
transfer students must have completed at least one semester at their current institution.
