On-Site Staff for Verona, Italy

Specialty programs have an on-site Resident Director (RD) who provides comprehensive support to students throughout their study abroad experience. RDs are responsible for the academic curriculum and faculty. Gözde Lago, the USAC Verona Resident Director is assisted by Valentina Montin, the Program Assistant.

The Resident Director and Program Assistant meet the group flight at the airport, provide on-site orientation, take you to your program housing, and organize interesting field trips and optional tours.

Meet the Resident Director

Gözde is both Italian and Turkish, and is fluent in English, Italian, French, and Turkish. She has extensive experience in international higher education and holds a Master's degree in International Relations and European Affairs, a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science, as well as certificates and training in leadership, team management, and more.

Program Assistant

Valentina holds a degree in linguistic mediation for international and diplomatic organizations, and has lived and studied abroad in Belgium and England. She speaks Italian, English, French, and German. As an undergraduate she worked as an intern in the USAC Verona office.
