On-Site Staff for Verona, Italy

Specialty programs have an on-site Resident Director (RD) who provides comprehensive support to students throughout their study abroad experience. RDs are responsible for the academic curriculum and faculty. Demet Guzey, the USAC Verona Resident Director is assisted by Anna Visentin, the Program Coordinator.

Demet has been a professor in Verona since 2016, when the program opened and has extensive experience as journalist, author, food and culture expert, and has taught ‘Food and Culture’ and ‘Italian Food and Wine Business’ for USAC Verona. She is fluent in English, Italian, Turkish, Dutch, and basic French.

Anna holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in foreign languages and literatures. She has work experience in education, sales, and communications. She is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.

The Resident Director and Program Coordinator meet the group flight at the airport, provide on-site orientation, take you to your program housing, and organize interesting field trips and optional tours.
