Internships for London, England
London Met Student Internships
Semester and yearlong students interested in gaining professional work experience while studying at London Metropolitan University (London Met) can apply for an internship. Internships allow students to do part-time, voluntary work in order to gain the type of skills and real-life experience employers seek. Previous students have worked in the British Library, with fashion designers, in the offices of Members of Parliament, and more. There is an additional fee for the internship module, payable directly to London Met and not included in the USAC Program Fee. Students participating in an internship will also need to apply for and obtain a Student Visa prior to departure for England.
London Met's role is to source, monitor, and administer the internships, as well as support students throughout the internship process. Upon successful completion, students earn 15 London Met credits for the internship module. Internship students should also meet with their academic advisors to discuss the process of earning academic credit for internships at their home universities, the number of internship hours required for their degree (if applicable), and other requirements. London Met’s internship office will work with you individually on internship opportunities that match your interests.
Spots are limited, so it is in your best interest to apply early; applications will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The internship application process is managed entirely by London Met, and the internship application deadline may fall prior to the USAC application deadline. Students interested in an internship are advised to check the London Met website for details and to ensure they meet the application deadline. The USAC application must be completed prior to applying for a London Met internship.
