KKU is not only the top-ranking university in Thailand but also the leading educational center in the Mekong subregion. The main campus is located approximately 1.5 miles from the city center on a large, safe and lush green site. Acclaimed as a research university, KKU has world-class research projects in healthcare and tropical medicine, and plays a vital role in the physical, intellectual and mental health of communities.

During the semester, students will enroll with Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC). KKUIC is at the forefront of international education in Thailand and focuses on providing a good balance of theory and hands-on experience for students. USAC students will be surrounded by diverse international cultures which will result in world-wide friendships, a more holistic view on academics, and better marketability for your future career.

The summer program is centered around health-based internships and research assistantships so are overseen by KKU’s Faculty of Medicine/Public Health/Nursing. All three faculties have been around for about 50+ years and are dedicated to producing graduates who are ready to meet the needs of the community, society, nation, and humanity.
