On-Site Staff for Lisbon, Portugal

The Lisbon program is administered in the U.S. by the USAC Central Office and in Lisbon, Portugal, by the Global Education Office (GEO) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

The GEO is headed by UCP’s Faculty of Human Sciences’ Director of International Affairs, Professor Michael Baum (Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto). As the dedicated on-site staff at the host university, Dr. Baum and his team will assist you with class registration, answer questions on practical matters, arrange housing, provide a mandatory on-site orientation, organize field trips and excursions, and oversee your general well-being. They can also assist you with integrating into campus life and guide you to other resources and services at the university.
