Students can participate in various hands-on cultural and academic experiences, such as talks on Moroccan society and Arab and Islamic cultures, art exhibits, live music, and general student meeting spaces. USAC also offers an optional cuisine workshop for free — offering you the opportunity to create local cuisine and sample teas with your new friends.

USAC offers at least two full-day field trips, plus local outings built into classes and activities. You’ll explore cities, villages, the coast, and even desert regions, all while learning how to confidently navigate medina markets and everyday cultural experiences.

Most neighborhoods within Rabat are walkable and can be accessed via the local Rabat-Sale tramway. This two line tram system is not only well maintained and commonly used by the community, but it is also a great way to access major attractions. Service runs every 20 minutes, and ticket kiosks with helpful attendants are available at most stops.

During your free time, visit the architectural wonder that is the Moroccan royal family’s Royal Palace, known as Dar El Makhzen. Morocco is a melting pot of inspiring sites. Whether it’s the iconic streets of Casablanca, the blue-washed city of Chefchaouen, or the vibrant markets of Marrakesh, these bucket-list spots are easy to reach within several hours by high-speed train or car.
