Seoul - Korea University Courses – 2025 Summer

Studying abroad can be a more meaningful and invigorating learning experience than at home—both inside and outside of the classroom. You may be more curious and alert than you usually are so use this heightened energy to enhance your studies as well as your cultural and geographical explorations. You may also encounter different teaching styles and course processes; be prepared to adapt and to learn.

Academics

USAC's partnership with Korea University provides you with an array of academic offerings taught in English during the six-week summer session. Course offerings are vast and regularly include subjects ranging from humanities and Asian studies to business, science, and engineering. Areas of study believed to be of most interest to USAC students are included below as a sample of what the university offers. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by Korea University. Korea University is AACSB and EQUIS accredited.

All courses at Korea University are worth three credits and are taught in English, except for Korean language courses which are taught in Korean. You will enroll in one to three courses, for a total of three to nine credits.

Microdegree

Korea University offers students the opportunity to earn a microdegree certificate in Korean Culture and Society by passing at least three courses within a select list of Korean culture courses. The certificate will be awarded to you in the form of a digital badge which you can use for your career development. Motivated students can take all three courses during the summer session, or you can attend both the summer and January programs to split the course load.

Internships

Students enrolled in the summer program at Korea University who have a higher GPA and class standing are eligible to apply for a non-credit bearing internship. The internship occurs the month before classes start and is in addition to you taking at least one course. These unpaid opportunities are available in areas relating to marketing, sales, advertising, public relations, and operations.
