Where did you study abroad?
As an undergrad, I studied abroad with USAC in Viterbo, Italy. Taking advantage of the language tracks offered, I was able to rapidly acquire basic skills of a language I had no prior experience speaking.
What is your favorite memory from your time abroad?
My favorite memory from abroad was seeing my favorite musical, “The Phantom of the Opera”, in London. I had not planned on doing this but saw an advertisement at the hostel and knew I had to fit it into my itinerary!
What is your favorite place you have traveled to and why?
My favorite place I traveled to was Viterbo for the quintessential Italian experience. The small medieval city and lovely residents made it easy to feel at home with a charming, leisurely way of life. In some of my free time, I traveled to many different parts of Italy and abroad to places like Paris, Barcelona, Santorini, Krakow, London, Dublin, and Amsterdam, but my time spent at home in Viterbo was the absolute best.
If you could go on any USAC program, what would it be and why?
I would like to go to The Hague program in the Netherlands. Having a degree in Criminal Justice, I am intrigued by living in “The International City of Peace and Justice”.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I am very crafty. I love to knit and crochet while watching true crime documentaries.
What’s on your bucket list?
To drive Mario Karts in Tokyo!
What is a favorite food that you have tried while abroad?
While abroad, my favorite food was gelato in a brioche bun.
