Hiroshima University, one of the most prestigious Japanese universities, has an enrollment of about 15,000 students, including about 1,800 international students. It is ranked highly among world universities by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. It is located in Saijo City, approximately 30 minutes from central Hiroshima by train. It consists of faculties and schools such as Integrated Arts and Sciences; Dentistry; Economics; Education; Engineering; Law; Letters; Medicine; Science; and Applied Biological Sciences, as well as a number of graduate schools, research institutes, and other centers. Hiroshima University's engineering school has ABET accreditation. Three large libraries are available for all types of information. Each provides complete library services for students.
