USAC Torino Staff

Specialty programs have an on-site Resident Director (RD) who provides comprehensive support to students throughout their study abroad experience. RDs are responsible for the academic curriculum and faculty.

The Torino program has a Resident Director who is responsible for the USAC office abroad and overall operations of the program: hiring outstanding faculty, organizing field trips and optional tours, and overseeing your general well-being. Eliana Silvestro is a fourteen-year veteran of USAC and has been the Resident Director of the Torino program since 2017. She holds a master's degree in Political Science and an advanced master's degree in Globalization and Development from the University of Torino. She is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Piemontese dialect.

The Resident Director, assisted by program coordinator Daniele Cataldo, meets the group flight at the airport, provides on-site orientation, takes you to your program housing, and organizes interesting field studies and optional tours.
