USAC encourages every student to participate in the tour; however, it is optional and has an additional fee. Destinations may change at the discretion of the Resident Director.

Summer Term

Immerse yourself in Cork’s rich historical and cultural heritage while visiting several nearby sites, including a Victorian-era mansion with walled gardens, an island fortification that served as both a remote monastery and an infamous prison, and a seaside exhibition devoted to the story of Irish emigration.

Journey outside county Cork to take an unforgettable stroll along the iconic Cliffs of Moher, explore the remarkable karst landscape of the Burren in county Clare, and visit Bunratty Castle, the most complete and authentic castle in all of Ireland. Finally, head to the world-famous Ring of Kerry and tour the region’s incredible landscape, characterized by castles, great lakes, and breathtaking views.
