Living Accommodations for Reading, England
Residence Halls
The on-campus residence halls vary in age, size, and character, but all are within a ten-minute walk of the main campus facilities. All rooms are fully-furnished single bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens.
The University of Reading prides itself on being a residential university where the majority of undergraduates, as well as many postgraduates, live in campus residence halls. Each hall is a vibrant community with its own distinctive character, offering a secure environment in which to study and relax. The halls provide a range of domestic and social facilities, as well as study spaces and laundry facilities. The University of Reading has a team called Home@Halls, which organizes social activities to encourage residents to get to know each other and build community.
Most residence halls have a central dining area serving three meals per day, Monday to Friday, and two meals per day on weekends. You can choose to purchase an optional meal plan or cook meals for yourself in your residence’s shared kitchen facilities. All halls are within easy access to shops, banks, and social facilities, and are located on bus routes to and from the town center.
