Curriculum Integration for Universities

Curriculum integration (or curriculum mapping) is a collaborative initiative that aims to fully integrate study abroad into the college experience for students in all degree programs.

We strive to make study abroad part of every student’s college journey — moving it from the periphery to the center of the university experience.

How does curriculum integration work?

USAC partners with key faculty and staff to build stronger curricular bridges between your institution and USAC programs abroad.

We begin by exploring the courses your students need and the essential student learning outcomes you want them to fulfill. Then, we identify customized curricular solutions unique to your institution — simplifying the study abroad process for your students.

USAC is also able to support you with the course approval process and design custom promotional materials for your students.

USAC's goals

Remove curricular barriers to study abroad.

Increase access to and participation in study abroad.

Develop innovative and sustainable partnerships through greater academic cohesion.

Capitalize on study abroad as a high-impact practice to enhance student learning and intercultural competency development.

Improve graduate success.
