Volunteer Opportunities

Another way to meet like-minded locals is to participate in volunteering efforts. Volunteering Australia is a great place to start looking at opportunities which are offered in your local area and it’s not limited to charity efforts. Volunteering could be at a sports stadium, major tourist event, or convention centre. Corporate volunteering is not only a great way to meet locals, but could add great experience to your resume as well. More information will be available during your on-site orientation. The Griffith Mates also offer opportunities to volunteer, and the Griffith Bush Care group (Brisbane campuses) or Griffith Beach Care group (Gold Coast campus) are another way to get involved in the campus and community.
