The Peace Corps
The Peace Corps is an independent agency and program of the United States government that trains and deploys volunteers to provide international development assistance.
Foreign language teaching programs
- The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) is one the Cultural Services of the French Embassy's longest running and most sought-after programs.
- North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP) in Spain is a language assistant program that allows North American English speakers to work as language and cultural assistants in public schools across Spain.
- Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) is an internationally accredited course provider that offers training to teach English abroad. There is also a job board.
- Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) is the only English language teaching program managed by the Japanese government, offering positions in schools and government offices throughout the nation.
- Fulbright U.S. Student Program is a fellowship program through the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Program participants may conduct research, continue to graduate studies, or teach English abroad.
- Academic Information Agency (AIA) Academic Information Agency (AIA) of the Czech Republic offers a program for qualifying participants to teach English in primary and secondary public schools.
