Living Accommodations for Auckland / Palmerston North / Wellington, New Zealand

All Massey accommodation is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need to cook, relax, and study. To secure your preferred Massey accommodation, we recommend you apply for your accommodation as soon as possible, preferably at least three months prior to the program start date.

Each Massey campus has a dedicated Accommodation Officer who can assist in the process of locating appropriate housing. If your first preference is unavailable, the Accommodation Officer will assist with securing a suitable alternative.

Accommodation options include student flats, homestays, private flats, or boarding.

Auckland

Auckland Campus

University-managed accommodation in Auckland is on-campus and offers catered and self-catered options. All apartments or flats are modern, offering varying numbers of bedrooms. Conveniently located close to campus, shops, and amenities, these units provide secure, safe accommodation in a semi-rural environment. In most cases, a free shuttle bus to the campus operates Monday - Friday during semester time (daytime only).

Palmerston North

Manawatū Campus

ManawatÅ« campus students can choose from a variety of on-campus Halls and Units, either catered or self-catered. Accommodation is priced to meet a range of budgets, with prices factored on the room size, age of the hall and individual meal plan, where selected (flexible options available). Many off-campus options also exist including properties owned by the Massey University Students’ Association (MUSA).

Wellington

Wellington Campus

Massey manages three residential facilities for students near its Wellington campus, with the choice of either studio units or two-, three-, four-, or five-bedroom apartments. All options are self-catered, fully furnished, and within walking distance of campus. Community areas vary, but may consist of large common rooms, movie room, study room, atrium, lounges, kitchens, laundries, recreation room with pool table and TV, and an outdoor courtyard with grass areas.
