On-Site Staff for Heredia, Costa Rica

Specialty Programs have an on-site Resident Director (RD) who provides comprehensive support to students throughout their study abroad experience. RDs are responsible for the academic curriculum and faculty.

Meet the Resident Director

Resident Director Carlos "Carlitos" Oviedo has been working with USAC since 1999. He is a Costa Rica native who loves working with people, traveling the world, and enjoying outdoor activities. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and also speaks basic Italian. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration, and has completed graduate work at Universidad Nacional in Exercise Physiology.
