Customize your budget by making selections for optional items.
Items with variable prices should be customized based on your spending habits, the actual cost of your airfare, etc.
Enter a reasonable number for each of these items or click on the low or high values to select that amount.
These are two options students have used in the past:
1. Make a wire transfer from your home bank (in US or elsewhere) to the Italian bank of the apartment owner.
2. Go directly to the apartment owner's bank to make a deposit for the rent payment.
The rent payments can be made monthly or in one lump sum for the full term.
Airfare (group flight or individual) - not included in program fee
Airfare prices will vary greatly, depending on date of purchase, departing location, and whether or not you choose a refundable or non-refundable ticket, among other factors. This estimated range includes an estimate of the group flight fare when and where available. You will receive more detailed information regarding the availability of a group flight via your student account.
This amount will vary depending on your personal spending habits and only addresses expenses related to daily living in your program city, not supplemental travel costs.
Local transportation (student bus pass)
This amount is an estimate of your day-to-day transportation expenses in your program city such as commuting to campus and is often based on, for example, a monthly public transportation pass.
Transportation to/from airport
This amount is an estimate of your transportation costs between the airport and program site. You’ll get more detailed and up-to-date information and instructions via your student account.
Italian Study Visa
A visa is official permission to stay in a country; it is sometimes called a “residence permit” or similar. This amount is the estimated fee for the visa itself; travel to the consulate may also be required and is not included in the amount. You will receive more detailed and up-to-date information and instructions via your student account.
Price range not guaranteed and may vary based on your individual needs. This insurance is a recommendation, not a requirement. For more information on travel insurance, consult your Insurance Information document on your Gateway account.
