Host University for Istanbul, Turkey
Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is located in the “heart of Istanbul,” right where Europe and Asia meet. The campus, conveniently situated on the European shore of the Bosphorus Strait in the Beşiktas neighborhood, has a stunning view of the Asian side, the historical center of the city, and the impressive Bosphorus Bridge. A multitude of cafes, restaurants, museums, and art galleries can be found in close proximity to the university. Once an important trading port, Beşiktas still serves as a hub of transportation and is only minutes away from Taksim Square, the posh neighborhood of Nişantaşi, and the commercial center of Maslak.
Committed to becoming a leading global university, BAU has attracted world-renowned academic staff and created state of the art research and instructional facilities. BAU encourages its students to be intellectually curious, critical thinkers, and have a strong sense of the values of human rights, freedom, and social responsibility. BAU faculties and courses are organized into Arts and Science, Law, Economics and Administrative Services, Communication, Architecture and Design, and Engineering.
USAC students have full access to the facilities and events available on campus, including excellent library facilities, computer labs, smart classrooms and labs, and internet access. Students can use their personal laptops with wireless on campus and have access to computer labs, free of charge, seven days a week. Opportunities including conferences, seminars, plays, movies, concerts, and exhibitions and a rich diversity of clubs and organizations are also available and students are strongly encouraged to dive in and participate.
