Valencia Calendars – 2023-24 Yearlong
USAC recommends that you have a passport in hand by the application dates below. Passport processing times and details can be found on the U.S. Department of State website. Currently, it can take anywhere from 3-8 weeks to process a passport depending on your circumstances. | - | If you will apply for your student visa through the Spanish Consulate in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York and wish to take part in USAC’s group visa submission process, you are strongly advised to complete your study abroad application by the Early Admission deadline since later group visa submission is not guaranteed. Contact your Enrollment Specialist to discuss your options. |
| - | You must have a valid passport in-hand by the Early Admission deadline to be part of the group visa submission. Check your passport expiration date: the passport must be valid a minimum six months beyond the program end date. If you do not have a valid passport in hand by the Early Admission deadline, you may not take part in the group visa submission and will follow the Standard Application deadline below. |

Preferred 2.5 GPA
Summer Research Assistantship Program:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Junior standing at time of internship
- Two semesters of college-level Spanish
- Some research labs may have a higher language proficiency requirement
- STEM Major or Minor
- No COVID-19 vaccine exemptions
