Studying abroad can be a more meaningful and invigorating learning experience than at home—both inside and outside of the classroom. You may be more curious and alert than you usually are so use this heightened energy to enhance your studies as well as your cultural and geographical explorations. You may also encounter different teaching styles and course processes; be prepared to adapt and to learn.
USAC’s partnership with Yonsei University provides you with an array of academic offerings taught in English. Students who already have an advanced level of Korean language may also enroll in courses taught in Korean.
Yonsei’s minimum full-time enrollment requirement is 9 semester credits. USAC students normally take 12-15 credits; however, due to social distancing requirements and classroom capacity limits that have been put in place at Yonsei, we cannot guarantee that all students will be able to take a minimum of 12 credits during the semester. Although you will submit your desired courses to Yonsei in advance; course registration will not be confirmed and finalized until after you have arrived onsite. Consult with advisors at your home university to understand your minimum credit requirements and any steps that will need to be taken if you are not able to enroll in more than 9 semester credits at Yonsei.
Course offerings are too numerous to be listed here, but areas of study believed to be of most interest to USAC students are included below as a sample of what the University offers. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by Yonsei University. Yonsei University is AACSB, KABEA, and EQUIS accredited.
