Academics

USAC’s partnership with Kookmin University provides you with a wide array of courses taught in English. You are required to enroll in the equivalency of at least 12 U.S. credits per semester. A typical course load at Kookmin is 12-15 credits per semester. Areas of study believed to be of most interest to USAC students are included below as a sample of what the university offers. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by Kookmin University.

*Intensive Korean Language Program

The intensive Korean language program at Kookmin University has a low intermediate and intermediate track for students who have already completed their first year of Korean language studies. This is a 15-credit fixed program. You will take a language placement exam onsite to determine which track you'll take. If you place too low on the placement exam, you will need to take regular undergraduate courses as identified above.
