Seoul Courses – 2022 Yonsei January Session I

If you have questions about the academics or courses available on this program, locate the Program Advisor to schedule an advising appointment or email them your questions directly.

Studying abroad can be a more meaningful and invigorating learning experience than at home—both inside and outside of the classroom. You may be more curious and alert than you usually are so use this heightened energy to enhance your studies as well as your cultural and geographical explorations. You may also encounter different teaching styles and course processes; be prepared to adapt and to learn.

USAC's partnership with Yonsei University provides you with an array of academic offerings taught in English during the three- or five-week January session. Course offerings include a variety of subjects ranging from general studies to Korean studies to social sciences and below is a list of courses offered which may be subject to change. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by Yonsei University. Please visit the USAC website for more details. Yonsei University is AACSB and EQUIS accredited.

All courses at Yonsei University are worth three credits and taught in English. Students can choose to take one or two courses for a total of 6 credits during Session I, and will earn an additional 3 credits during Session II if participating in the Session I & II program. Keep in mind that these courses are highly intensive and fast-paced due to the short sessions.

Students participating in the Session I & II program will be able to choose from the variety of courses listed below for Session I, then will focus on Korean language and society in Session II. Session II includes intensive language courses, cultural activities, and distinctive lectures on diverse cultural and historical aspects of Korea.

Students can also choose to take Taekwondo as an extracurricular activity. It is not for credit and has a small uniform fee during Session I.
