On-Site Staff for Accra, Ghana

The Accra program has a Resident Director (RD) who is responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad, including securing appropriate student housing, helping with registration at the host university, organizing exciting field trips and optional tours, and overseeing your general well-being.

Claudia and Abigail

Abigail M Opong Tetteh, a Ghana native, is the Resident Director for the Accra program and is a 11-year veteran of USAC. She earned a Master’s degree from the University of Twente in The Netherlands and is fluent in Twi, Fanti, Ga, and English. Abigail, assisted by Program Assistant Claudia Tawiah-Amoako, will meet the group flight at the airport and provide the mandatory on-site orientation as well as additional support and resources while you are on the program.

The USAC staff is there to assist you. They have information about academics, field trips, group activities, and cultural and social adjustments for you. They can assist you with any health, safety, housing issues, or any other concerns you may have. Their office is located centrally on campus.
