Studying abroad can be a more meaningful and invigorating learning experience than at home—both inside and outside of the classroom. You may be more curious and alert than you usually are so use this heightened energy to enhance your studies as well as your cultural and geographical explorations. You may also encounter different teaching styles and course processes; be prepared to adapt and to learn.
USAC's partnership with the University of Brighton provides you with a wide array of academic options. You may choose from courses offered in the Brighton Business School, School of Applied Social Sciences, School of Environment and Technology, School of Humanities, School of Education, School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, and the School of Arts and Media. Courses are subject to availability and approval of prerequisites which are determined by the University of Brighton. Students can enroll in 12-15 US credits (40-50 Brighton credits). Students can go over the 15 credit max for an additional fee.
All students are required to take a 3 credit British History and Culture course which provides a strong foundation for the study abroad experience.
Recent courses include:
* - Many business courses are yearlong and may not be available for spring semester only students.
** - Due to differences in academic calendars, most fall semester science and engineering courses end in February and require that you take final exams at your home university following your return home if you are unable to remain until the end of the term.
