On-Site Staff for Florianópolis, Brazil
Our Brazil staff welcomes you to Florianópolis!
The Florianópolis program has a Resident Director who is responsible for the USAC office abroad and overall operations of the program: securing appropriate student housing, hiring top-level faculty, organizing field trips and optional tours, and overseeing your general well-being. Renato Carvalho worked for USAC Brazil since January 2013 as program assistant. Before that he worked three years in management consulting and internal audits for Ernst and Young in Brazil. He holds a degree in business management from UFSC (where our program is based) and is completing his MBA. He has experience studying in the US (California and Texas), and also in Chile and Belgium. He speaks Portuguese and English fluently as well as some Spanish and French.
Program assistant Laura Baltazar will meet the group flight at the airport, provides an on-site orientation, oversees your academic affairs, organizes interesting field studies, and accompanies you on the optional tours.
Renato and Laura, as well as all the USAC faculty, look forward to welcoming you to Floripa!
