Melbourne Courses - 2020 Trimester 1: Feb – Jun
Studying abroad can be a more meaningful and invigorating learning experience than at home—both inside and outside of the classroom. You may be more curious and alert than you usually are so use this heightened energy to enhance your studies as well as your cultural and geographical explorations. You may also encounter different teaching styles and course processes; be prepared to adapt and to learn.
Academics
USAC's partnership with Deakin University provides you with a wide array of course options including the opportunity for qualified year-long students with junior standing or higher to participate in a credit-bearing internship as part of their full-time course load. Students on USAC's program enroll in regular Deakin University classes alongside their Australian peers.

Internships
Qualified year-long students may apply to take part in Deakin University's internship program. Deakin works closely with students to make their experiences valuable and ensure that placements are beneficial for all parties. Internship courses are offered through the Faculty of Business and Law, and through the Faculty of Arts and Education in the areas of journalism, public relations, communication and creative arts, history; and sociology. Internships are structured, credit-bearing placements that would be one of the four courses taken in a given trimester. Students are required to research and locate their own host organization for the internship with guidance provided by Deakin.
